Its not everywhere that a vintage Buchla (maybe the OG) and a Serge synth sit next to each other. There is a pretty easy conclusion to make when they do: make an album. Plugging these things together is amazing. The dirtier the signal the better.

Rosie Langabeer

Rosie Langabeer is a composer and performer from New Zealand who writes for musical ensembles of various sizes, theatre, film, circus, dance and performs on a wide range of instruments. A specialist in devised ensemble work and improvisation her sound ranges in style from classical to jazz to punk to gypsy to electro synth pop and beyond. Langabeer is currently based in Philadelphia, USA where she is a member of No Face Performance Group and works with Pig Iron Theatre Company. She has also collaborated with Subcircle, Ballet X, the WILMA Theatre, Green Chair Dance Company, Gas and Electric Arts and The Agave Opera Company and award winning New Zealand companies Awkward Productions, Ake Ake Theatre Company, Hypnotical Hoodang, directors Deborah Pope, Darcy Gladwin, Briar March, Jeff Henderson, Alyx Duncan and the Wellington Most Famous Orchestra of Miraculous Delights.

Xiao-Xuan Yang

Taiwanese Contemporary Dancer Xiao-Xuan Yang, nominated for Best Female Dancer in Australia in 2009 and winner of Dance Australia’s Top Dancer to Watch in 2006, has performed and toured throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the United States with the world-renowned dance companies Australian Dance Theater and Taiwan-based Cloudgate 2 Dance Theater. A specialist in blending gymnastic and martial arts techniques into more traditional contemporary practices, Ms. Yang is equally at home in performing styles from ballet to Chinese dance to experimental and technologically inspired contexts. Assistant Professor at the Taipei National University of Arts (TNUA) 2010- 2011 and teacher of ballet and contemporary dance at numerous studios in Taiwan before moving to the United States in 2012, her original choreography has been featured with Australian Dance Theater and at Taipei National University of Arts. Current projects include work with Jersey City based Nimbus Danceworks, where she will join the company in a residency at the Putney School in Vermont in April 2012 and for performances in June 2012.
